Our Vision

The Warwick Community Elementary School and District is committed to providing an innovative, engaging and hands-on education to its students. Through nature-centered, place and project-based learning, students will study in and about environment on our 25-acre woodland campus. Students will learn to think critically and develop solutions for challenges being faced both in Warwick and around the globe, especially those related to the environment and social justice.

A New Ecosystem of Learning

Students should experience joy in learning and critical thinking every day. Our curriculum will be rooted in standards aligned, nature-centered place based learning experiences that are deeply engaging and driven by inquiry and our student's organic curiosity.

Given the small size of our school, we will provide our scholars with personalized projects and investigations to meet the interests and needs of every student.

MULTI-AGE CLASSROOMS

Students will engage in work at their grade level and beyond. We promote flexible learning environments that meet students where they are.

PERSONALIZED LEARNING

NATURE CENTERED LEARNING

Warwick’s spacious building includes a library, art/project room, maker space, early childhood space, individualized tutoring spaces, gym with performance space, and large classrooms. With an updated full-service kitchen, we can offer home-cooked and healthy meals. Warwick’s Community School building has excellent natural light and has been completely updated for quality air exchange. The redesigned campus maximizes land use and is filled with unique geological features.

TRAILS

The campus has a trail design allowing student and teacher easy access to some of the wonders of our land. Currently, there are 12 trail elements connecting different parts of our campus.

GARDENS

Our garden team has designed multiple, unique gardens on the campus where our students can learn about pollinators, butterflies, native plants, and how to grow food in a large garden. Vegetables grown in our gardens will be used by Chef Gail in the preparation of her home cooked meals for our students, staff and teachers.
